About the Job As Product Owner, Discovery AI within our Digital
team , you will support the development and delivery of
AI/ML-powered digital products that help Sanofi scientists identify
and prioritize novel therapeutic targets. We work at the
intersection of biology, data science, and software and we are
growing. Working under the guidance of senior product leaders, you
will leverage your scientific background to bridge the gap between
research teams and technology solutions, ensuring that digital
tools meet real scientific needs and integrate effectively into
research workflows. You will be the connective tissue between our
scientific users and the engineering teams that build for them.
Your scientific background is your superpower: researchers will

translate their needs into work the development team can execute

Voice of the Scientist The most important thing you will do is make
sure we are building the right things. You will spend time with
computational biologists, wet-lab researchers, and R&D leaders
understanding how they work, where they are stuck, and what a
better tool would look like for them. Conduct discovery sessions
and requirements interviews with scientific stakeholders to surface
real unmet needs Translate user needs into structured user stories
and acceptance criteria that engineering teams can build against
Validate delivered features with scientific users to confirm they
solve the original problem and feed findings back into the backlog
Support Agile Product Delivery You will be a working member of a
cross-functional Agile squad. You do not need to know Agile deeply
on day one you will learn by doing. Participate in sprint planning,
backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives alongside
other Product Owners on the team Contribute to backlog
prioritization by applying structured frameworks that weigh
scientific impact, user need, and technical feasibility Track what
gets built against what was promised and flag misalignments early
Write and maintain product documentation: user guides, release
notes, and data dictionaries Learn to Build a Product Case Product
decisions at Sanofi are grounded in evidence. You will learn how to
structure the argument for what to build and why and how to measure
whether it worked. Support the development of lean product
proposals articulating the business problem, target users, and
riskiest assumptions Contribute to business case documentation as
products move through Sanofi's stage-gate process (Explore to Build
to Scale) Help track KPIs and user adoption metrics post-launch to
demonstrate product value to leadership Drive Adoption A product
that does not get used has no value. Driving adoption is a core
part of this role and it is where your scientific credibility
matters most. Design and deliver onboarding and training programs
that help research teams integrate new AI/ML tools into their
workflows Create materials walkthrough guides, use case examples,
FAQs that make it easy for scientists to understand and use new
capabilities Monitor adoption metrics and synthesize user feedback
into concrete product improvement recommendations Connect Teams and
Keep Alignment Build working relationships across computational
biology, wet-lab research, data science, and engineering Facilitate
communication between scientific users and the development team,
ensuring shared understanding of goals and priorities Represent
scientific user needs clearly in cross-functional forums and
product planning sessions within Discovery AI, Digital In Silico
Research and wider Digital R&D About You Experience & Education
Bachelor's in life sciences, computational biology, bioinformatics,
or a related field (Master's plus) 3-5 years experience in
laboratory research or related domain in the life sciences or
helathcare space. 2-4 years of Product Ownership, project
management or program coordination experience in pharma, biotech,
or academic R&D Strong written and verbal communication skills
including the ability to write clearly for both scientific and
non-scientific audiences Comfort engaging with diverse stakeholders
across functions Eagerness to develop new skills and take on
increasing responsibility Openness to feedback and commitment to
continuous improvement Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving
environment Proactive approach to problem-solving and professional
development Nice to have qualifications: Hands-on experience with
biological data types: genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, or
multi-omics Working knowledge of target discovery, disease biology,
or drug/vaccine development processes Experience with concepts of
digital product development and management Exposure to Agile or
Scrum methodologies, even informally Experience with change
management best practices and demonstrated experience Experience
building, adopting, or championing analytical platforms or
bioinformatics tools in a team setting Familiarity with AI/ML
concepts and their application in drug discovery What Success Looks
