Provide behavioral health nursing and medical-psychiatric care for adults with co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions while experiencing Boston’s culture, history, and world-class amenities./n /n/nTravel RN Job Details/n /n - Location: Boston, MA 02114 (Beacon Hill / Charles River area)/n - Start Date: April 12, 2026/n - End Date: July 11, 2026/n - Contract Length: 13 weeks/n - Unit: 24-bed inpatient medical-psychiatric unit (inpatient psychiatric unit / behavioral health)/n - Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week/n - Shift Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days, evenings, nights; ~50% evenings/nights)/n - Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday required/n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 - $2,010 (competitive travel nurse pay)/n - Employment Type: Travel RN, On-site/n - Number of Openings: 1/n /n/nJob Requirements/n /n - Active RN license that meets Massachusetts state requirements (Massachusetts RN license preferred)/n - Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; psychiatric nursing or behavioral health experience preferred/n - Medicine or med-surgical experience preferred (helpful for medical-psychiatric patients)/n - IV therapy and phlebotomy skills preferred/n - BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required/n - Ability to work rotating shifts and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team (psychiatry, medicine, social work, case management)/n /n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Deliver safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered care to adults with co-occurring psychiatric and medical needs (psychiatric RN / mental health nurse)/n - Perform comprehensive clinical assessments, monitor patient status, and implement nursing interventions/n - Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and facility policy (medication administration for psychiatric and medical regimens)/n - Support milieu management, crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and individualized safety planning/n - Coordinate care and discharge planning with psychiatry, medicine, social work, and case management to ensure continuity of care/n - Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR)/n /n/n Why Boston?
