Registered Nurse (RN) | Interventional Radiology Location: Concord, MA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,068 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Radiology Staff Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Radiology Duration: 40 hours Shift: 4x10s Hours per Shift: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM Experience: 3 to 5 years of nursing experience; Critical care experience License: MA RN License Certifications: BLS & ACLS required Must-Have: Experience in critical care Description: Reporting to the IR Section Leader, the Radiology Staff Nurse will provide quality nursing care to both inpatients and outpatients in the department. The Radiology Nurse must be prepared to handle unexpected emergencies that occur during any radiological procedure. The nurse ensures patient privacy, dignity, and safety. Complies with policies and procedures providing optimum patient care utilizing the nursing process. Prioritizes patient needs and functions as a patient advocate. Assesses the biological, psychological, sociological, and cultural needs of the patient and the family. Monitors patient condition including vital signs and recognizes electrocardiogram changes, initiating appropriate nursing interventions. Recognizes, documents, and assists in the treatment of contrast reactions. Intervenes in emergency situations. Assists radiologists with special procedures and treatments that require professional nursing skills. Administers conscious sedation and monitors patients as appropriate. Assesses need for and administers other medication as appropriate. Provides continuity of care for critically ill patients. Demonstrates skill in using special equipment such as monitors, infusion pumps, oxygen equipment, and ventilators. Documents patient status and nursing interventions accurately. Complies with patient identification protocols. Demonstrates ability to prioritize nursing responsibilities within the department. Provides health teaching and procedural information to patients and families. Has knowledge of all areas of nursing practice. Demonstrates mature judgment, initiative, and proficiency in nursing skills. Is able to work without direct supervision. Shows professional interest through self-development, continuing education, and involvement in professional organizations. Is knowledgeable in physical assessment, aseptic techniques, IV skills, and universal precautions. Possesses excellent customer service skills. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Computer skills are required. Ability to maintain confidential information is essential.
