Job Description Job Description Job Title: GI Technical Assistant Location: Falmouth, MA Job Type: Contract Pay Rate: $38–$46 per hour Position Overview: Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a GI Technical Assistant for an exciting Travel job in Falmouth, MA. Key Responsibilities: Assist physicians during diagnostic and surgical procedures. Prepare and set up procedure rooms with necessary instruments and equipment. Obtain vital signs and position patients to ensure comfort and safety. Provide support to patients in the recovery area as needed. Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopic equipment and related supplies. Complete required environmental and equipment monitoring documentation in compliance with state and regulatory standards. Communicate effectively with Sterile Processing regarding additional procedures and specialized equipment needs. Maintain and monitor inventory of medical and surgical supplies to ensure availability and accuracy. Assist the Surgical Suite team with operative scheduling, patient transport, and operating room preparation. Perform shave preps according to physician orders and established protocols. Report equipment shortages or defects to the Supply and Equipment Supervisor. Attend mandatory programs and participate in at least four unit staff meetings annually. Assist in orienting new staff under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Participate in on-call shifts as assigned. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Minimum of two years of recent experience within the past five years as a Nursing Assistant II, C.N.A., or Endoscopy Technician (EC Tech), or one year of recent experience within the past five years in a direct patient care position in Perioperative Services.
