Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent acute hospital experience,
including at least 1 year of critical care and 1 year of Level I
surgical trauma experience. License: Not specified Certifications:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: Neuro experience;
ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm
strips. Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse
in the Intensive Care specialty. This position requires working
12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. The schedule includes
every other holiday and weekend. Candidates must have a minimum of
2 years of recent acute hospital experience. At least 1 year of
critical care and 1 year of Level I surgical trauma experience is
required. Neuro experience is mandatory. A tele test will be
administered on the first day. The unit sees patients following
kidney transplants, cardiac procedures, free-flap neck dissections,
and other complex surgical needs. It handles a high volume of
neuro-critical and trauma patients. The unit has 28 beds, with an
average patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2 or 1:1. Preferred experience
includes TNCC certification.
