Us?We are seeking an experienced and dynamicBusiness Development
Managerto spearhead growth initiatives in acquiring new clients in
the pharmaceutical and biotech industries for our environmental
monitoring systems in North America. This role also involves
driving Field Service sales by collaborating with Field Service
partners and the Continuous Monitoring Sales Team to promote
installations, calibrations, and other critical service offerings.
The ideal candidate will excel in building relationships, managing
sales cycles, and developing strategic approaches to enhance
revenue and market share. This is ahybridwork schedule based in
ourBurlington, MAoffice withtravelexpectations up
to50%annually.What will I be doing in this role?Strategic Planning
and Market Analysis:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to
achieve company sales targets and expand our client base in the
pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential
clients, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Create targeted strategies to grow Field Service sales,
including installations, calibrations, and other services, in
collaboration with the Field Service partners and Continuous
MonitoringSales Team.Client Acquisition:
- Identify, target, and secure new clients within the
pharmaceutical and biotech industries requiring environmental
monitoring systems.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and
stakeholders within target organizations.Field Service Sales
Enablement:
- Collaborate with Field Service partners and the Continous
MonitoringSales Team to identify and promote Field Service
opportunities.
- Provide guidance and support to drive the adoption of service
offerings among new and existing clients.
- Assist in aligning Field Service solutions with client needs
and ensuring seamless delivery of services.Networking and
Relationship Building:
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and
networking events to promote our products and services while
establishing key industry connections.
- Develop long-term client relationships to ensure satisfaction,
repeat business, and opportunities for expanded service
offerings.Proposal and Presentation Development:
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and
product demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with marketing to create impactful sales materials,
case studies, and promotional content that highlights both
environmental monitoring systems and Field Service
capabilities.Collaboration and Team Leadership:
- Work closely with the product development, marketing, Field
Service, and customer service teams to align on business
development goals and activities.
- Partner with the Key Account team and inside sales team to
execute client needs and provide comprehensive
solutions.Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Monitor and report on sales metrics, pipeline status, and
business development activities, including Field Service sales
performance.
- Analyze and assess the effectiveness of business development
and Field Service sales strategies, making data-driven
recommendations for improvement.Qualifications:Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Life
Sciences, or a related field.Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development,
sales, or a related role in regulatedpharmaceutical, biotech, or
environmental monitoring industries.
- Proven success in acquiring and managing high-value clients,
achieving sales targets, and driving service-based sales
growth.Skills:
- Strong knowledge of environmental monitoring systems, Field
Service offerings, and their applications in regulated
pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation
skills.
- Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving
capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a
cross-functional, collaborative team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.Ready to
