DSP Communications Engineer, you will be responsible for the
design, development, and testing of radio frequency (RF), wireless
circuits, or communications systems. You will demonstrate an
understanding of Digital Signal Processing algorithms and
Communications theory. You will have the ability to troubleshoot
and solve complex communications problems. The role requires
excellent communication skills and ability to effectively
collaborate with multidisciplinary groups, including software,
hardware, and material engineering.Job Description:* Design and
implement DSP algorithms.
* Knowledge of wireless communication theory and systems.*
Experience with Software Defined Radios (SDR)
* Manage complex engineering projects in a fast-paced
environment.
* Develop and maintain effective internal/external
relationships.
* Use standard laboratory instrumentation for validation and
troubleshooting.
* Drive solutions to complex problems with limited direction -
contribute to requirements development, propose ways forward, and
adapt appropriately to changes in requirements.
* Contribute to customer presentations.
* Able to provide insight and suggest design modifications based on
analysis outcomes, and to apply analysis techniques across a range
of technical disciplines.
* Identify program/system-level technical risks and develop and
execute mitigation strategies.
* Expertise in using DSP software and hardware tools.
* Actively mentor less experienced engineers and provide
thoughtful, constructive feedback
* Ability to lead a team of engineers
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills/Abilities
* Knowledge of DSP algorithms design and implementation
- Knowledge of digital communications theory and systems
* Proficient with MATLAB and Python. Knowledge of C/C++
- Software Design Radios tools
* Hands on experience with instrumentation for RF measurement (VNA,
etc.).
* Excellent mathematical skills.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability and
willing to work in highly collaborative team environment.
* Excellent management and organizational skills: proven ability to
meet deadlines, task prioritization and attention to details.
Education
Requires bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related
field. Master's degree preferred.
Experience
Requires 5-7 years' experience in Radio Frequency or Communications
