year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.

considered. A 1099 contract opportunity is available for a skilled
Sign Language Interpreter providing telehealth services within an
educational setting. This role demands expertise in facilitating
effective communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students,
their families, and educational staff through remote platforms. Key
Responsibilities: Deliver accurate and clear sign language
interpretation during telehealth sessions, ensuring full
comprehension for all participants. Collaborate with educators and
healthcare professionals to support students academic and social
development. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional
ethical standards in all communications. Adapt interpretation
techniques to accommodate diverse learning needs and
telecommunication technologies. Document and report session details
as required by contractual agreements. Qualifications: Proven
experience in American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation,
especially within educational or healthcare environments.
Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote communication
tools. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage
effectively in virtual settings. Certification as a Sign Language
Interpreter (e.g., NIC, RID) preferred. Ability to work
independently and manage time efficiently under a contract
arrangement. Location: Services are provided remotely with
