Clean Harbors is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. This role is in the Safety-Kleen Sustainability Solutions division and works closely with sales and operations to provide financial planning, analysis, reporting, and support. This position plays a key role in the company’s annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and financial close processes. RESPONSIBILITIES Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times. Lead the coordination and preparation of the annual operating budget and monthly forecasts providing value-added analysis and reporting to support the process and strategic decision making. Assist in monthly financial close by reviewing P&L statements of assigned business units, perform research, and prepare/post journal entries, reclass entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Prepare month-end reports and value-added variance analyses to provide data and insights to explain financial performance. Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly management reporting packages Complete ad hoc decision support analyses to evaluate the financial soundness of business proposals. Maintain key reporting and analysis processes by identifying process improvement opportunities and assisting with implementation of solutions. Maintain compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls associated with financial reporting. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or other business degree, MBA a plus. 5-7 years of FP&A experience. Advanced MS Excel; experience with data mining and manipulation. Demonstrated business and financial acumen with exceptional analytical / quantitative skills. Experience with ERP systems (Oracle a plus) and reporting tools (Power Bi a plus). Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial statements. Driven self-starter with an innate curiosity and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate cross-functionally. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
